I have created a profile, now what? After creating a profile on MichelleValentine.com, all accounts will go through an approval process where our staff will carefully review your profile for any violations of our terms of use agreement, upon which you will receive an e-mail imforming you that your profile has been successfully activated, at which you can begin to use our services. Remember, the more information and images that you upload at the time you create your profile, the faster you will be able to start using our online community. Uploading one image, and saving your profile will send it back into approval mode, where it will have to be checked for accuracy again.
What type of singles are on your site? We specialize in single professionals. Many are doctors, nurses, attorneys, models, teachers, and more. Ages range from 18 to 80. Choose the ages you wish to meet.
Can I find someone with specific information that I am looking for - say, a certain religion or age? Yes. Simply input all of your specific criteria when searching profiles. Keep in mind: the more specific you are, the less profiles you will be viewing, so being a bit more general will give you many more matches!
I received an e-mail from another member. Do I have to subscribe to MichelleValentine.com to reply? Yes, you must subscribe to MichelleValentine.com in order to respond to e-mails or to engage in conversation with other members.
What does Online Now mean? MichelleValentine.com includes a feature to allow you to see which MichelleValentine.com members are currently online. If Online Now is indicated on a member's profile, it means that that member has been active on the site within the last hour. At times, system delays may postpone refreshing of the Online Now indicator, and that member may have logged off.
I have tried searching for profiles; however, a lot of members seem like they live too far away. What should I do? Regardless of whether or not a person is located further away from your ideal distance, we recommend contacing them anyway, to see if they might be interested in meeting in the middle. A lot of times, we forget that 50 miles is not an entirely long distance in a big city. If you are really interested in someone, give it a shot, and see if there is chemistry. Dating should be fun!
Relationships involve two people, not one! What's in it for me if I become a subscriber to your service? Subscribing is our most successful way for you to meet other people. After becoming a paying member, you can either contact them by sending a Virtual Kiss, chatting over MV Messenger, or by sending them an e-mail.
Are profiles censored? Is there a limit to what I can include in my profile? Yes. All member profiles, when they are originally created, as well as when they are modified, must be approved by MichelleValentine.com administrators. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not put any personal information in your profile, including, but not limited to: your home address, a personal beeper, telephone or cell phone number, email address, Instant Messenger username, or personal website address, unless
specified in your profile questionnaire. Any offenders of this rule will be banned from our site until such information is removed from their profile. Anyone soliciting our members for outside business reasons will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We have a strict
Anti-spam and Anti-Abuse policy.
What is the difference between the memberships that you offer? A non-member is anyone who has not created a profile on MichelleValentine.com. Non-members cannot get into our community at all. Standard members are members who have created a free profile on our site. Standard members have very limited access into our community. Susbcribers to our one year membership have unlimited access to everyone our online community, plus the ability to personally contact other members, plus a multitude of additional site features. How much does it cost to become a subscriber? Our one year subscription is only $99. (This is less than $2 a week!)
Tips on Creating Your MichelleValentine.com Profile How much of my profile should I fill out? The more of your profile that you complete, the better your chances are of finding that special someone.
I am having trouble starting my profile. What should I do? Users that have difficulty starting their profile can send an e-mail to the Webmaster along with the e-mail address, username, and password that they would like to use. A basic account will then be created and the login information e-mailed to the address provided. MichelleValentine.com and the Webmaster are not responsible for incorrect information such as the country, zip code, or other information being incorrect. By setting up a basic account, certain fields may be incorrect, and can be updated by logging into your newly created account, and updated by the user. DO NOT e-mail the Webmaster, requesting to have information updated.
Should I add my photo to my profile? YES! Profiles with photos receive ten (10) times more responses than profiles without a photo. Be sure to use high quality photos of yourself, featuring only you in the photo.
When I filled out my profile, I received an error message telling me that I didn't enter a particular field correctly, what should I do? When you incorrectly enter information during the creation of your profile, an error message is displayed for the appropriate fields that need to be corrected before your profile can be submitted. To the right of some of the profile fields are descriptive tags, providing each user with instructions as to the required type of information to enter into that field for it to be submitted.
Why do I need to enter my e-mail address again? I already entered it on the profile. We require users to enter their e-mail address twice, in order to confirm that a user has entered a valid e-mail address. Any e-mail address entered incorrectly could delay your approval process.
Questions About Your Membership Does MichelleValentine.com offer refunds for partial membership usage? MichelleValentine.com does not pro-rate unused memberships or offer refunds. Please review our terms of use page regarding membership in our online community.

How do I cancel my subscription with MichelleValentine.com? To cancel your subscription with MichelleValentine.com, notify the MichelleValentine.com Webmaster in writing before your membership is set to expire, that you would like to cancel your subscription. MichelleValentine.com does not issue refunds should you forget to cancel your membership before the renewal date. Also, please allow between 12 and 24 hours to cancel your membership. If adequate time is not provided to cancel a subscription and your membership rollsover, or if your server goes down or online service malfunctions, MichelleValentine.com is not held responsible.

I am a standard member. After logging in and trying to search, I receive an error message telling me that I am not allowed to. What should I do? As a standard member, certain features are restricted. To view your allowed actions for your membership, go to your Control Panel at your profile home screen and select View Allowed Actions under the Member Information area to view a list of your allowed actions.
What is a Valentine Match? A Valentine Match is our way of letting you know that another member on MichelleValentine.com matched the qualities that you specified in your profile that you said you were looking for.
How do I view my Valentine Matches? To view your Valentine Matches, click the link that was provided to you in the email that you received.
What is a Virtual Kiss? A Virtual Kiss is a way to let other members know that you are interested in them. A lot of times, this is a good way to break the ice with someone that you might like to get to know.
I have been sending Virtual Kisses and E-mails to members that I am interested in, what should I do next? After having talked with a member that you are interested in, and sent Virtual Kisses to, we suggest scheduling a casual date with that person, so that you can get to know each other better and see if you are compatible.
What is MV Messenger? MV Messenger is a chat program that allows MichelleValentine.com members to communicate instantly with other members that are currently online.
How do I use MV Messenger? In order to use MV Messenger, you first must be a paying member to our services. Once you have logged into your account, search profiles to see what members are currently online. If a member is online and you would like to talk with them, click the Add To IM icon. This will bring up a window, telling you that a user has been
added to your buddylist. Close the window, and click on your Control Panel icon to return to the home screen. There, launch MV Messenger, and start chatting.
Can I remove a member from the chat window? Yes! To remove a member from your chat window, click the tab for that member to change the focus to that member, and then click the X directly above the scrollbar.
Can I view a members profile from MV Messenger? Yes! To view the profile of a member that you are conversing with, click their image.
Why can I not access MV Messenger? MV Messenger is a function for MichelleValentine.com subscribers only. To purchase a membership, login to your account and click the My Membership link on your Control Panel to upgrade your membership.
What is the Communicator The Communicator is where you can access your Inbox and Outbox to see who sent you messages and who you sent messages to. You can also view other members that you have hotlisted, added to your friends list, or blocked.

Login Difficulties (Accessing my account, Security Code, Profile errors, Error messages) How do I ensure that I will receive any correspondences from other MichelleValentine.com members? I forgot my NickName or Password, what should I do? Go to the log-in page, and click on the Forgot? link. You will immediately receive an automated email with your login information. If you still need help, send an e-mail to the Webmaster, requesting to have your login information sent to you or visit thepassword retrieval page. Please remember to use the e-mail address that you originally provided to MichelleValentine.com.
I paid for a membership and am having trouble logging in to my account. If you have paid for a membership, and are having difficulties logging in to your account, a lot of times, it can take additional time to have your payment appear, which is causing the delay. Please allow up to 24 hours for your account to be setup as a subscriber.
I created a profile or made changes to my profile, but when I try to login, I get a message telling me I cannot. If you are having trouble logging in to your account, and have made changes to an existing profile or created a new profile, it may take between 12 and 24 hours for your profile to be checked for content and activated. Do not send an
e-mail requesting that your profile be approved, as this will delay the approval process.
I am having trouble entering the Security Code after I entered my information. When entering the Security Code on the registration page, remember that the code is case sensitive.
Example:
If a security code is R5eE, you would enter:

Why do I get an error message saying Page cannot be displayed? Certain conditions with the Internet might cause hang-ups or problems with loading images or certain features. Make sure to go to Tools and then Internet Options within Internet Explorer and clear your history and delete temporary files that might keep pages from loading. If you encounted any other problems, feel free to contact our support team.
Searching profiles (Member photos, Profile features, Mileage search) When I search the online community, I do not see a lot of personal photos uploaded. Why is that? A lot of times, members do not post their photos because they either do not know how or they do not feel it is necessary to establish good rapport with other members. If you see a member that sounds intriguing, take the initiative and send them an e-mail requesting for them to upload a photo to include with their profile.
Photos (Uploading, Error messages, Hardware usage, etc...) I finished creating my profile. How do I upload photos? To upload photos to your profile, login to your account and click Add Photos. Remember to save your changes one you have added all of the photos that you would like to include.
I have a photo that I would like to upload to my profile, but I don't know how to use my scanner. MichelleValentine.com does not offer support for teaching you how to use your hardware or computer software. At no charge to you, we would be happy to upload your photos. What kind of images can I upload? We recommend that you upload your photo in .JPG or .GIF format, to ensure compatability. Also, remember to keep image sizes fairly reasonable. A larger photo (5 mb +) might take some users a long time to load. Anyone needing help with uploading their photo can contact us at the address at the bottom.
Why was my image not loaded successfully? This means that your image size is too large for the file type you are trying to upload. Try resizing your image or lowering the resolution of the image.
